Beats, a subsidiary of Apple, has revealed a special-edition Beats Pill featuring Pikachu and Mimikyu artwork on the speaker grill. The gray speaker shows Pikachu with electric bolts raised on the surface, next to a grayscale rendition of the ghost Pokemon Mimikyu.

The speaker is otherwise the same Beats Pill sold in other colors for $149, with a splash of Pokemon styling added. Its packaging is custom-designed so the Pokemon's ears pop up for display. Beats is also including charms for the lanyard for the first time: a Pokeball, a lightning bolt, and the Beats "b" logo.

The Beats Pill was revived in 2024 with improved audio, 24-hour battery life, and IP67 water and dust resistance. It works with Android smartphones and iPhones, and supports lossless audio when connected over USB-C.

Pikachu has been a staple of the franchise since its debut in 1996 and is more recognizable globally than Nintendo's Mario. Mimikyu is a newer addition, a ghost Pokemon said to have built its costume from a rag to mimic Pikachu in hopes of making friends. The special edition launches October 15 at Apple Stores and Target for the same $149 price.
