Bambu Lab H2C Review: A Pro-Level 3D Printer That Does the Heavy Lifting

The Bambu Lab H2C is a 71-pound enclosed 3D printer measuring 19.4 by 20.2 by 24.7 inches, designed for users who want professional results without the manual work. Unlike budget bedslinger machines that require constant manual leveling, the H2C handles calibration entirely on its own — something that completely changed this reviewer's relationship with 3D printing after years of frustration with the Ender 3 Neo.

The printer features dual hot ends in its toolhead for faster multi-color and multi-material prints, plus a Vortek Hotend Change System that stores up to five additional nozzles for quick swapping. The 305mm x 320mm x 325mm build plate can accommodate objects up to 12 inches cubed. The optional AMS unit holds four filament spools while keeping them dry and monitoring humidity levels — though some materials like glow PLA can't be used with it. Setup involves removing numerous locking screws and packing foam, then letting the machine calibrate itself, which the reviewer completed in about 15 minutes after acquiring a proper 24-inch table.

After spending over 200 hours with the H2C, the reviewer found it remarkably hands-off compared to traditional 3D printers. The enclosed design allows for higher-temperature filaments and quieter operation, with the primary noise coming from intake fans. For anyone who's been burned by finicky consumer printers before, this model represents a different category entirely — one where the machine does most of the work and you just handle the design.
