Apple TV picked up three Directors Guild Awards (DGA) at the 78th ceremony, doubling its total wins. The wins came in the documentary, comedy, and advertising categories. Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg won Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Comedy Series for their episode of *The Studio*, while Rebecca Miller took the Documentary Series/News award for *Mr. Scorsese*. Kim Gehrig secured a third win in the Commercials category.

This marks a significant improvement for Apple TV's television directing presence. While the platform has long been nominated for shows like *Ted Lasso* (seven nominations), these wins represent tangible recognition. Apple previously won for drama series *Lessons in Chemistry* in 2024 and had earlier advertising victories. The wins highlight growing directorial talent within Apple's TV division.

The ceremony saw other notable results, including Amanda Marsalis winning for *The Pitt* over Ben Stiller's *Severance*. Rogan and Goldberg dedicated their comedy award to the late Catherine O'Hara, calling her their 'idol'. Gehrig's fourth nomination and third win underscores her consistent excellence in Apple's advertising campaigns.
