Apple released the fourth developer betas for its 26-generation operating systems on Monday, including iOS 26.6, macOS Tahoe 26.6, iPadOS 26.6, watchOS 26.6, visionOS 26.6, tvOS 26.6, and HomePod Software 26.6. The iOS and iPadOS builds carry version 23G5057c, replacing 23G5052d from the third beta on June 29. macOS Tahoe moved to 25G5057c, while watchOS and visionOS received 23U5054b and 23O5757c respectively.

The company also pushed fourth release candidates for older Mac systems: macOS 15.7.8 RC 4 (24G814) and macOS 14.8.8 RC 4 (23J612). This 26-gen track has followed a roughly two-week cadence since the first beta on May 26, with the second arriving June 15. Unlike the parallel 27-gen betas introducing new features, the current generation focuses on performance and security fixes.

The initial iOS 26.6 beta added a Contacts safeguard that warns users when they hit the 20,000 blocked listings limit, plus a security patch for Apple Maps. No new changes were documented in this fourth build. Apple continues to advise against installing developer betas on primary devices, citing data loss risk, and recommends public betas or spare hardware for testing.
