Apple has announced new and extended partnerships with US firms to manufacture titanium for its iPhone enclosures and variable aperture technology for the iPhone 18 Pro.

Apple's American Manufacturing Program (AMP) has already seen the company invest in firms across the country. One of those has been Qnity Electronics, and Apple has now announced it is extending its partnership with the Delaware-based firm. Apple has also revealed a new partnership with Pennsylvania's Perryman Company, a producer of titanium. Its titanium is to be used in the iPhone Duo and unspecified other devices.

Sabih Khan, Apple's chief operating officer, said in a statement: "We're thrilled to expand our work with companies producing advanced materials and components for our newest iPhone lineup right here in America." He continued: "We're proud to work with Perryman and Qnity Electronics to continue expanding our American Manufacturing Program and support US jobs." Apple says it will commit up to $100 million to the deal with Perryman over the next three years. The company melts, forges, and rolls titanium with a minimum of 80% recycled content for the iPhone Duo.

The expanded work with Qnity Electronics specifically concerns the new variable aperture camera used in the iPhone 18 Pro. Apple says it now works with suppliers across all 50 states, supporting over 450,000 American jobs. The announcement continues the manufacturing investment first announced in 2025, which Apple has since raised to $600 billion over four years.
