Apple will add more App Store advertisements in search results starting March 3, 2026, initially for users in the United Kingdom and Japan. The change affects those running iOS 26.2 or iPadOS 26.2 and later, with a global rollout planned by late March.

This expansion follows Apple's December 2025 announcement and aligns with its broader push into digital advertising. The company rebranded its search ad service to Apple Ads in April 2025, building on previous ad introductions to the Today section in 2022.

Developers don't need to take action; Apple's system matches user searches to relevant ads using keywords. While this offers advertisers more visibility, it adds to the growing ad clutter within the App Store, a trend users have increasingly criticized as intrusive.
