The package also includes Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro for the tablet, creating a unified suite for creative professionals. Rumors of this service first surfaced in November 2025, but the foundation was laid much earlier.

Apple acquired Pixelmator in November 2024, sparking widespread speculation that the popular image editor would eventually land on iPad. Creators have long requested a full-featured version, and that wait is now over. This move also sharpens Apple's subscription strategy.

While Final Cut and Logic have been available on iPad via subscription, their Mac counterparts remained a one-time purchase. This new bundle aligns pricing across devices and signals a deeper push into recurring revenue from professional software. It positions the iPad as a more serious tool for high-end creative work, directly challenging desktop workflows.
