AI fuels Foxconn's record profit ahead of iPhone 18

Ahead of producing the iPhone 18 Pro and the folding iPhone, Apple's main manufacturer Foxconn has announced the greatest monthly earnings in its 52‑year history, attributing the surge to AI demand.

In late July 2026 Foxconn began its annual recruitment drive to staff the forthcoming iPhone 18 Pro, and Reuters reported that the company earned $29.6 billion in July, the highest monthly total ever, a 54.2 % increase year‑over‑year.

While full details are pending, Foxconn's smartphone division posted strong growth, driven by a "strong pull‑in momentum for AI products." The firm supplies AI servers, GPU modules and other hardware to Nvidia, which has alternated with Apple for the title of world's most valuable company.

Looking ahead, AI rack shipments are expected to stay robust into Q3 as ICT products enter peak season, though volatile global political and economic conditions and a shortage of processors and memory may push consumer‑electronics prices higher. Foxconn expects continued growth through the next quarter, bolstered by iPhone 18 Pro production and holiday consumer‑electronics manufacturing, possibly including the launch of the iPhone Fold.
