Samsung Opens Galaxy Connect to All Windows 11 PCs

Samsung has expanded its Galaxy Connect app to work on non-Samsung Windows 11 PCs, breaking down a barrier that previously kept these continuity features exclusive to Galaxy Book laptops. The app enables seamless cross-device functionality including copy-paste between phone and PC, access to phone storage directly from the computer, web page syncing, and the ability to use your Galaxy phone as a second display.

Version 2.1.6.0 now supports Windows 11 machines from any manufacturer including Lenovo, Asus, and Dell. However, there's a notable limitation: the app only works on Intel and AMD x64 processors. ARM-based PCs running Qualcomm's Snapdragon X chips are incompatible. Users need to sign in with the same Samsung account on both devices to enable the features.

This move represents a significant shift in Samsung's strategy, making features traditionally associated with Apple's ecosystem available to a much broader audience. The expansion brings practical continuity tools to any Windows 11 user with a Galaxy phone, rather than limiting them to Samsung's own laptop lineup.
