Samsung is preparing to launch its Galaxy Glasses during a July 2026 Galaxy Unpacked event in London. The smart glasses will debut alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8, marking Samsung's entry into the competitive smart eyewear market. After developing the project for over a year, the company aims to directly challenge Meta's Ray-Ban smart glasses with its own offering.

The Galaxy Glasses will feature a sunglasses-like design with integrated cameras, speakers, and microphones. Two models are expected: one with a built-in AR display similar to XREAL glasses and another without a display. Running on Android XR, these glasses could address key limitations of current market offerings with potentially better AI integration through Gemini and deeper app support.

Samsung's dual-model approach suggests targeting both casual users and those seeking full AR functionality in a single launch. With no pricing details yet, the July 2026 release date indicates more information will emerge soon. This move represents Samsung's strategic attempt to establish a strong presence in the emerging smart eyewear technology market.
