Pixel Watch Sleep Tracking Bug Leaves Users Checking Phones

Pixel Watch owners are dealing with another health-tracking bug. Users report their watches display "No recent data" when checking sleep stats, even though Fitbit continues recording the information in the background. The issue persists for multiple nights and simple fixes like restarting don't reliably solve it.

This comes as Google transitions Fitbit into a broader Google Health platform, with some features already discontinued or altered. Earlier this year, Pixel Watch users faced similar glitches including incorrect step counts, broken SpO2 readings, missing skin temperature data, and syncing problems. One user reported their watch recorded thousands of steps while they sat mostly still.

For now, affected users can still access sleep data through the Fitbit app, so the information isn't lost—it's just not appearing on the watch itself. Google hasn't officially commented on what's causing the bug.
