Pixel Watch phone left-behind alert leak

Latest from Android Central •

Google appears to be developing a Pixel Watch feature to prevent you from leaving your phone behind. Code strings reference a "Notify when left behind" alert that would ping your watch if you walk away without your phone. The feature requires both devices have Bluetooth on and the watch is worn.

Beyond just an alert, the system may also automatically lock your phone if you leave it unlocked in a public place. This adds a privacy layer, and you could disable alerts for trusted locations like home. The feature mirrors capabilities already found on Apple Watch and Samsung Galaxy Watch models.

However, the code suggests Google might limit this to select new Pixel Watch models, potentially excluding older hardware like the original Pixel Watch or Pixel Watch 2. A "Not supported watch" message hints at hardware limitations.

There’s no official rollout timeline yet, as this was only spotted in source code. If Google confirms the feature, it would address a common frustration for many smartphone users.
