Pixel 10 Users Report Always-On Display Freezing After March Update

Pixel users are experiencing severe freezing issues with the always-on display feature after installing the March software update. Reports on Reddit indicate the problem occurs multiple times daily, often requiring device restarts. The issue affects Pixel 10 series devices most prominently, though some older models are also impacted.

Users describe their screens freezing on the AOD interface, with notifications appearing over black backgrounds and devices becoming sluggish after restarts. One Reddit thread has garnered over fifty comments from affected users. The freezing appears more frequent than previous display issues, with some reporting multiple lock screen freezes per day.

This latest problem adds to a growing list of display-related bugs affecting Pixel 10 devices since launch. Similar flickering issues emerged in December following that month's patch, and older Pixel models faced comparable problems last October. Google has yet to acknowledge the current freezing issue or provide a timeline for a fix. Some users in the beta program found temporary relief through factory resets, but this remains a last-resort solution.
