Nothing has unveiled its Phone 4a and Phone 4a Pro, marking a significant design shift with the new Glyph Bar replacing the signature Matrix lights. The Phone 4a Pro introduces a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, a first for Nothing's mid-range lineup. Both models feature 1.5K AMOLED displays and Snapdragon 7 series processors.

The standard Phone 4a starts at £349 while the Pro model begins at £499, with global sales beginning in mid-March. The Pro model boasts a 144Hz refresh rate compared to the base model's 120Hz, both protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The Pro also moves to an IP65 rating from the previous generation's IP64, while maintaining Nothing's signature industrial design with a metal unibody and raised camera plateau.

Both phones run Nothing OS 4.1 based on Android 16, promising three major Android updates and six years of security patches. The 5080mAh battery supports 50W fast charging, with Nothing claiming 90% capacity retention after 1,200 charge cycles. The new Glyph Bar features seven LED zones that can display charging progress, notifications, and even provide illumination for photos and videos, representing a more practical implementation of Nothing's signature lighting system.
