Motorola has priced its Razr Fold at $1,899.99, undercutting the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 by $100. The device launches in the US with pre-orders starting May 17 through Best Buy and Motorola's website, with open sales beginning May 21. This marks Motorola's first proper entry into the book-style foldable category, directly competing with Samsung's premium foldables.

The Razr Fold features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, 16GB RAM, and a 6,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging. It boasts a 6.6-inch cover display and an 8.1-inch internal foldable display with 2K resolution. The outer display supports a 165Hz refresh rate, while the inner display offers 120Hz. A triple camera setup completes the package.

Motorola's aggressive pricing strategy comes as Samsung has increased prices on some Z Fold 7 variants in the US. The device will also arrive on carriers like T-Mobile, Xfinity Mobile, and Verizon in the coming months. With competitive specs and a lower price point, Motorola aims to capture market share in the premium foldable space dominated by Samsung.
