Meta Announces Muse Spark Update for AI Glasses Gen 1 & 2

Meta is rolling out its new Muse Spark AI to its Vision Wearables, starting with Gen 1 and Gen 2 Meta AI glasses. The upgrade enhances voice interaction, letting users interrupt, change topics or languages mid‑conversation, and the assistant can keep pace with the user’s mindset while pulling images or web data on demand. A new shopping feature lets users ask the model to browse Facebook Marketplace or other online stores using the glasses’ camera.

Although the Gen 1/Gen 2 rollout is phased in the coming weeks over the U.S. and Canada, the higher‑profile Ray‑Ban Meta Display glasses will not receive Muse Spark until the summer, according to Meta’s blog. Meta confirmed that the Live‑AI camera functionality will also extend to the glasses, further blurring the line between onscreen and augmented‑reality AI.

Meanwhile, Meta Connect 2026 has been scheduled for September 23‑24, where Meta will reveal additional VR, wearables and AI developments. With Muse Spark’s “people‑first” emphasis, Meta aims to embed a more natural, conversational assistant into everyday devices and content, arguably following a similar path to Google’s recent integration of AI into its hardware.

Key Points:

- Muse Spark AI now available for Meta Gen 1 & Gen 2 glasses with improved voice chat and shopping support

- Ray‑Ban Meta Display glasses receive Muse Spark only in summer 2026

- Meta Connect 2026 set for Sept 23‑24 with new VR, wearables and AI announcements
