After a month of testing, the Chinese tech giant's latest offering delivers superior comfort, noise cancellation, and sound quality at a lower price point. The FreeBuds Pro 5 feature a dual-driver system with a dynamic driver and planar driver, resulting in vibrant bass, clean mids, and airy treble.

Comfort is a standout feature, with Huawei claiming extensive testing on over 10,000 ear samples. The earbuds come with four sets of tips and offer a secure fit that doesn't cause fatigue during extended use. IP57 ingress protection makes them suitable for workouts, and the compact case offers better portability than Bose's offering. The noise cancellation is particularly impressive, effectively blocking ambient sounds and engine noise on flights.

Battery life is the main drawback, lasting five hours between charges compared to Bose's six. At £179 ($240) in the UK and $229 in the US, the FreeBuds Pro 5 undercut Bose and Sony's latest offerings by a significant margin.
