Google Unveils $100 Ultra AI Plan with Gemini 3.5 Flash and 20TB Storage

Google has reshaped its AI subscription lineup after I/O 2026, introducing a new $100‑per‑month Ultra tier aimed at heavy users. The plan doubles the Pro tier’s limits, adds Gemini 3.5 Flash access, and bundles YouTube Premium. It also offers 20TB of cloud storage and a 5‑hour reset cycle that tracks compute usage instead of flat prompt caps.

Under the new compute‑used model, each prompt consumes allowance based on complexity, length, and the model chosen. Simple text queries cost little, while video or code requests eat more. When limits hit, Google downgrades to faster, smaller models, ensuring continuity, while Pro and Ultra subscribers can purchase pay‑as‑go AI credits to keep working in a bid to streamline usage.

Gemini Spark, an always‑on agent available to Ultra and Pro users in the U.S., can act across Google services, pulling data and automating tasks. The upgrade also introduces Gemini Omni, a multimodal editor that accepts text, image, and video inputs. Together, these tools aim to turn Gemini into a full productivity engine, but the new pricing model may push users toward extra credit purchases.
