The new control appears beside the spinning icon while the AI generates a reply, offering a snappier response without changing the model.

Unlike the older Skip option that forced a switch to the faster Gemini Fast model, the new button keeps the current model active. Users can verify the active model via the three‑dot menu, ensuring that speed gains come without sacrificing the depth of the chosen AI tier.
