tvOS 27 to Add Systemwide Larger Text for Apple TV 4K

Apple will unveil tvOS 27 next month, bringing a much-needed display setting called Larger Text to the Apple TV 4K. The new feature allows users to resize onscreen text systemwide, making it easier to read for those with low vision or viewers sitting far from their television. Apple confirmed this accessibility enhancement through its recent preview of upcoming updates.

Currently, tvOS offers Bold Text and Hover Text options, but lacks a true Dynamic Type setting. With tvOS 27, users can globally increase text size across the entire interface, addressing a longstanding gap in Apple's tvOS accessibility features. This addition aligns with Apple's ongoing commitment to improving usability for viewers with visual impairments.

Despite the confirmed Larger Text feature, rumors about other tvOS 27 capabilities remain sparse. Some speculate that new hardware delays involving an updated Siri remote could limit what Apple showcases at WWDC. However, the Larger Text setting will reportedly work with existing Apple TV 4K models, regardless of hardware changes.
