T-Mobile Outage Compensation: $10 to $80 Bill Credits Available

A widespread T-Mobile outage last week left nearly half a million iPhone users across the US without service for several hours, with many seeing "SOS" in their device status bars.

The disruption, which lasted about seven hours, affected customers nationwide, preventing them from making calls, sending texts, or using cellular data. A Reddit thread gathered thousands of complaints from frustrated subscribers.

While T-Mobile apologized for the outage, it did not proactively offer compensation. Instead, affected customers who contacted T-Mobile Customer Care—particularly through the T-Life app—were able to request bill credits ranging from $10 to $80, applied over the next six months.

The inconsistent compensation approach highlights a trend where users must actively demand refunds rather than receiving automatic relief.
