One day after shipping beta 5 for developers, Apple has just released public beta 3 for iPadOS 27 and several other OS 27 updates. It’s been a few weeks since the last wave of public betas, but today the wait is over. iPadOS 27 public beta 3 is rolling out now, alongside new betas for tvOS 27, HomePod 27, and more. We’re now only a month away from the public launch of these major new software versions, and public beta 3 brings a more stable, smoother round of updates.

New in iPadOS 27 public beta 3 includes redesigned app icons for Siri, Safari, Preview, and more; additional Siri voice customization options; Settings gains new Search options; iCloud+ details on AI feature limits; and more. Apple’s public beta 3 updates are the exact same builds that shipped to developers yesterday under the beta 5 label. After a day of use, they seem in much better shape than the previous betas. You’ll still encounter bugs here and there, but Apple has clearly made a lot of progress getting these updates ready to ship next month.
