OpenAI has released the Codex Micro keyboard, a $230 hardware collaboration with Work Louder. The kbd-1.0-codex-micro brings agent workspaces into physical reach with live RGB feedback on each Agent Key, showing status like thinking, running, waiting, or done.

Sold in clicky and silent versions, the keyboard features three Codex-specific functions: a joystick to trigger skills like reviewing PRs or debugging, dedicated command keys for accept/reject/push-to-talk/new chat, and a dial to adjust reasoning level on the fly. Users can reassign keys and customize agent key behavior via the ChatGPT Desktop App.

Developer Thomas Ricouard (@Dimillian) demonstrated the device's flexibility on social media. The launch caps a significant month for OpenAI hardware, alongside the ChatGPT Work agent, GPT-5.6 models, and a $100/month Pro plan for Codex users.
