Mac Rumors discovered a video showing AirPods with cameras in action, along with mentions of a new Siri Remote for Apple TV 4K. Juli Clover notes there's a reference to ATVRemote1,5, suggesting a next-generation Apple TV remote. Rumors previously indicated the next Apple TV might come with an updated remote control.

Mark Gurman has reported that the forthcoming hardware refresh would include "possibly a tweaked Apple TV remote." The discovery of this next-generation Siri Remote in macOS 26.7 suggests a new remote is indeed coming this fall. No specific changes have been rumored yet, though one common feature request is the ability to locate a lost remote more easily. Perhaps Apple's second-generation Ultra Wideband chip from AirTag 2 could be integrated into the Siri Remote.
