LM Studio has integrated Z.ai's GLM-5.3-Flash model into its Bionic AI agent platform, available on Mac and Windows. The model features multimodal input support and a 1 million-token context window. It is positioned as significantly more affordable than previous versions, costing up to 10 times less to run than GLM-5.2.

The model is served from US-based servers with a strict zero-data-retention policy enabled by default. This integration follows recent additions like Moonshot AI's Kimi K3, expanding the platform's capabilities for coding, research, and document processing. Users can access the model through locally run options or cloud hosted services.

The announcement highlights the model's efficiency and performance improvements over its predecessor. LM Studio continues to rapidly expand its model library to support agentic tasks. The integration was announced shortly after the model's official unveiling, which had previously been tested anonymously under the codename Ox Alpha.
