Apple's first foldable iPhone, the Duo, was unveiled today and will be available to order next month. While the main features are clear—a foldable design, two displays, and strong cameras—several smaller details surfaced from the announcement and Apple's website. Notably, the Duo includes exclusive camera software like Smart Take, Kid Cue, and Duo Preview, but its Main camera lacks the variable aperture found on the iPhone 18 Pro.

The inner screen features an under-display camera for a cutout-free look, but this camera is less capable than the outer display's Center Stage front camera. The Duo also has a Camera Control button but omits the Action button seen on recent iPhones. A nano-texture finish is exclusive to the inner folding display.

Apple Pencil support will arrive later this year, though only the USB-C model is currently compatible, not the Pro version. The Duo launches on October 16, shipping October 23, and runs iOS 27.1. It is eSIM-only worldwide, including China, where physical SIMs are popular.
