The iPhone Air 2, slated for an early 2027 release, is rumored to feature a smaller Dynamic Island, potentially offering more screen real estate. Analyst Jeff Pu's investor note indicates the device will retain the 6.55-inch screen but include two 48MP cameras: a Main and an all-new Ultra Wide lens.

Key upgrades highlighted include the A20 Pro chip, built on TSMC’s 2-nanometer process with WMCM packaging, and 12GB of RAM. The iPhone Air 2 is also expected to sport a titanium frame and Apple’s C2 modem, an improvement over the C1X.

The new 2-nanometer fabrication technology aims for enhanced performance and efficiency, while WMCM promises better power consumption. Apple may unveil the iPhone Air 2 in the first quarter of 2026 alongside the base model iPhone 18.
