I’ve been using iPhone 18 Pro for the past week after a full year as an iPhone Air user. My main takeaway so far is that it has zero compromises. The cameras are better and far more versatile, with Telephoto, Ultra Wide, and an improved Main lens. Battery life is similarly impressive, requiring no mid-day charging. Performance from the A20 Pro chip is fantastic, with more responsive Siri AI and no overheating thanks to the vapor chamber.

iPhone 18 Pro packs the best camera system Apple makes, the best battery life, and top performance. I’ve even noticed smaller improvements like better built-in speakers and Dynamic Island upgrades. There’s no wondering if photos would look better or if slowdowns would happen with a different model.

Despite these positives, I’m still very intrigued by the forthcoming iPhone Duo. Like the iPhone Air, it will have compromises like a worse camera system and no Face ID, but the foldable form factor is a compelling innovation. I’m excited for the iPad-like experience in my pocket.

The days of a single “best” iPhone are gone. iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are fantastic for zero compromises, but for something futuristic, I can’t wait to try iPhone Duo.
