iOS 27.2 expands FaceTime with Dual Capture for group calls, letting users show both front and rear cameras simultaneously. Previously limited to one-on-one calls, the feature now works with groups if all participants run iOS 27, iPadOS 27, or macOS 27. A new Sign Language button integrates third-party Video Relay Service apps, displaying interpreters as participant tiles.
Live captioning support is also added via third-party apps, alongside Apple’s built-in Live Captions. iPhone Duo gains Edge Light, a ring-light effect around the display for better illumination during calls, adjustable in intensity and color temperature via Control Center. These updates aim to enhance accessibility and video calling flexibility.
