An overhauled Apple Health app is coming, but it looks like iOS 27.2 won't include it. Apple first announced the upgraded Health app in September, and the company still says to expect it to launch later this year.
iOS 27.2 developer beta 1 was the first iPhone software update to include the new Health app, and Apple added it to iOS 27.2 public beta 1 and public beta 2 as well. The app features new data points like health age and lets users schedule lab work through Quest Diagnostics.
However, it appears Apple plans to take more time to get the new Health app ready for release. Today's iOS 27.2 developer beta 4 no longer includes the new Health app. Instead, the prior version has been restored, and the longevity section has been replaced with the previous sharing section.
iOS 27.2 beta 4 notes that Health data added during the beta testing period will be retained and viewable in the Settings app. The release notes also state that the app is still planned for this year. This likely means we'll see an iOS 27.3 beta in late October or early November with the Health app upgrade included. For now, we don't expect it to arrive for everyone in October as previously planned.
