iOS 27 introduces four new ways to personalize your iPhone's Lock Screen, continuing Apple's focus on user customization. The update brings enhanced wallpaper capabilities, including an "Extend" feature that uses AI to intelligently expand images, allowing for better aspect ratio adjustments and more space around the edges. This is particularly useful when setting photos as wallpapers.

Furthermore, Image Playground, Apple's AI image generation app, is now integrated into the Lock Screen wallpaper picker. Users can create stylized wallpapers from their Photos library or generate custom designs from scratch using natural language prompts. A significant visual change is the ability to move the clock on the Lock Screen to the top row of widgets, freeing up space to showcase more of the wallpaper.

Additionally, iOS 27 allows users to swipe away the "Now Playing" widget, preventing accidental taps while still allowing media to play. These features are currently available to developers and public beta testers, with a wider release expected later this year.
