Apple's iOS 26.4 beta is rolling out with a wave of new features across the iPhone ecosystem. The update brings significant enhancements to Apple Music, including a redesigned profile section, concert discovery tools, and a new Playlist Playground feature that uses Apple Intelligence to generate playlists from text descriptions. RCS encryption is also being tested in Messages.

Beyond music, iOS 26.4 adds new Ambient Music widgets for the Home Screen, allowing users to quickly access mood-based playlists. The Reminders app gains a Smart List for urgent tasks, building on the Urgent designation introduced in iOS 26.2. Stolen Device Protection is now enabled by default, requiring Face ID authentication for sensitive actions when away from trusted locations.

The update also includes design refinements like a redesigned Wallpaper Gallery and Watch face browser, plus functional improvements such as moving the Search bar in the App Store and Games apps. Apple Podcasts receives advanced video capabilities and support for dynamic video ads. Health app users get new sleep metrics and restored blood oxygen readings in the Vitals graph. While some features like RCS encryption remain in beta testing, the update represents Apple's continued focus on integrating AI features and tightening security across its mobile platform.
