The new device uses a 4MP dual-camera system with an industry-first hybrid glass-plastic lens, offering 100% more resolving power than its predecessor while being more affordable than HDMI sync boxes.

The camera system achieves 4-million-pixel resolving power - the highest in the TV backlight category - combining glass with precise plastic elements to minimize chromatic aberration. With 60 LEDs per meter and 4-in-1 RGBWIC technology featuring a dedicated white channel, the Backlight 3 delivers approximately 20% greater brightness and smoother transitions than the previous generation.

Priced at $109.99 for 55-65 inch TVs and $139.99 for 75-85 inch models, the device supports Matter for seamless integration with Apple Home. Govee designed the camera to be smaller than a thumb drive and positioned to disappear behind the TV, making it available for order starting today.
