dbrand has launched a new line of ‘1984’ skins that transform your MacBook’s Apple logo into the iconic rainbow design from the 1980s. The skins are color-matched to eight modern MacBook models, including MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and MacBook Neo, giving your device a retro aesthetic that pays homage to Apple’s early branding.

The skins feature a 3D-printed Apple logo that recreates the original six-color design, with each color carefully matched to dbrand’s available MacBook colorways. Priced at $31.95 regardless of your MacBook model, the skins offer an affordable way to customize your device. However, dbrand notes that Sky Blue MacBook Air owners are out of luck, as they couldn’t match that specific color to the rainbow logo.

This launch coincides with Apple’s release of three new MacBooks, making it timely for users looking to personalize their new devices. The ‘1984’ skins draw inspiration from Apple’s famous Super Bowl commercial and the dystopian novel that inspired it, connecting modern MacBooks to their historical roots.
