Apple has unveiled a new Apple TV 4K model featuring an updated Siri Remote with a built-in speaker and Precision Finding support through Find My. Even users who aren't planning to upgrade their television box can now purchase the new remote separately.
The new Apple TV 4K is available to pre-order now and ships November 13, priced at $299. That price may discourage some owners from upgrading, but the remote offers a more affordable option. The Siri Remote (4th generation) can be ordered from the Apple Store for $59, and it will ship on November 13, the same day the new Apple TV 4K arrives.
The remote keeps the same basic design as the previous model but adds two significant features. Precision Finding for Find My can guide users directly to the remote using their iPhone or Apple Watch. The built-in speaker lets users play a sound on the remote when it has been misplaced. The remote is compatible with both Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K, making it a practical solution for anyone who frequently loses theirs.
For those who want to protect the remote further, the article highlights several accessories, including an anti-slip silicone case compatible with AirTag and a wall mount for the Apple TV. The source notes that it uses income-earning affiliate links.
