Apple TV has released the first look at Prodigies, a new series from The White Lotus star Will Sharpe that offers an "unconventional take" on the romantic comedy genre.

Prwidely described as Apple's Valentine's Day offering for 2027, Prodigies premieres February 10 with its first two episodes. Weekly episodes will then arrive every Wednesday through March 17. Will Sharpe ("The White Lotus") and Ayo Edebiri ("The Bear") star in the series, which Sharpe created, wrote, directed, and executive produced.

The show follows Didi (Edebiri) and Ren (Sharpe), two former child prodigies now in their 30s, as they reexamine the relationship they have shared since they were nine. Moving from London to Tokyo by way of Virginia, the series explores potential, ambition and the universal complexities of long-term relationships. As they question whether their ordinary existence lives up to the extraordinary promise of their childhood, they find themselves in a new and terrifying kind of chaos.

The ensemble cast is headlined by John Malkovich, Tobias Menzies, Yumi Asō, Maria Bakalova, and others. Apple's originals slate is currently light on romantic comedies, which makes the talent behind Prodigies a promising addition. Apple TV is available for $14.99 per month, or at a discount through the Apple One bundle.
