Bad Monkey, the Apple TV comedy created by Bill Lawrence of Ted Lasso and Shrinking fame, returns for its second season. The series stars Vince Vaughn as Andrew Yancy, who becomes embroiled in a murder investigation after witnessing the death of Florida's finest fixer. Season 2 premieres Wednesday, December 2, with new episodes released weekly through February 3.

The official plot summary reveals that Yancy teams up with a strait-laced forensic accountant to solve the crime, finding himself caught in a turf war between rival criminal organizations. He navigates various Florida oddballs including an erudite mob boss, his unhinged son, and a hard-edged young woman requiring protection.

The season also explores Yancy's personal struggles with his aging father and unresolved romantic tension with Dr. Rosa Campensino, played by Natalie Martinez. John Malkovich joins the cast in season 2, adding to the ensemble alongside returning favorites.

Unlike Lawrence's other comedies such as Ted Lasso and Shrinking, Bad Monkey takes a darker, more irreverent tone. The series offers a unique blend of crime and comedy that distinguishes it from the creator's previous work. Bad Monkey season 1 is currently available on Apple TV for viewers catching up before the new season.
