Apple TV has unveiled the first trailer for "Star City," its new space-race thriller serving as a companion series to "For All Mankind." The upcoming series, premiering May 29, will explore the Soviet perspective during the space race era. Set to premiere alongside the finale of "For All Mankind" Season 5, Star City promises a high-stakes narrative that lives up to Apple's "propulsive paranoid thriller" description.

The series stars Rhys Ifans, known for roles in "House of the Dragon," "Elementary," and "The Amazing Spider-Man." Star City will launch with two episodes on May 29, followed by weekly releases through July 10. This expansion comes as Apple continues to invest heavily in exclusive sci-fi content to compete in the crowded streaming market.

Apple TV+ currently costs $12.99 per month or is available through the Apple One bundle. The streamer's commitment to quality sci-fi programming was recently reinforced with the announcement of a sixth and final season of "For All Mankind." As Apple TV+ continues to build its original programming, space-themed content appears to be a strategic focus for the platform.
