Apple has revealed its first glimpse of the new Siri design coming in iOS 27 through the WWDC26 artwork. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports the voice assistant will finally receive a comprehensive makeover with enhanced functionality and visual elements resembling the glow effect featured in the conference poster, particularly striking in dark mode.

The redesigned Siri will emerge from the iPhone's Dynamic Island when activated, with the expanded pill featuring a glowing cursor and "Search or Ask" prompt. This marks Siri's second redesign in the LLM era, moving beyond the rainbow lighting effect of iOS 18. The new version supports ongoing conversations, multiple requests in a single utterance, and integrates personal context using Google Gemini technology.

Apple will introduce a standalone Siri app where users can find previous conversations, unifying search interfaces across Siri and Spotlight. The redesigned assistant represents Apple's push to align with modern AI chatbot capabilities. iOS 27 will be previewed at Apple's annual WWDC conference, with the keynote scheduled for June 8.
