Apple faces a new antitrust lawsuit in the UK over its App Tracking Transparency (ATT) feature. The suit, filed at the Competition Appeal Tribunal, demands £2 billion ($2.7 billion) on behalf of app developers who claim Apple unfairly imposes greater restrictions on third parties. A key twist involves Ann Pope, a former senior official with the Competition and Markets Authority leading the case.

Pope argues Apple's policies caused "very significant harm" to businesses dependent on the iPhone maker as a gatekeeper. This is the third ATT complaint to the UK regulator, following a lost first appeal and an ongoing second case. Apple recently agreed to modify its ATT rules in the EU after a German regulator investigation.

The company has remained silent on the latest London filing, maintaining its stance that its own apps are exempt from the permission prompts because they do not collect the referenced data.
