The Computer History Museum is hosting TechFest: Happy Birthday, Apple on March 28, continuing celebrations of the company's 50th anniversary. This follows a successful Apple@50 panel last week featuring veteran executives like former CEO John Sculley and early employee Chris Espinosa. The event will feature special activities for all ages included with museum admission.

TechFest promises hands-on experiences with vintage Apple computers from Retro Roadshow, Apple-themed party hats, and dancing to 50 years of hits. A highlight will be meeting Daniel Kottke, Apple employee number 12, who helped Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak assemble the first Apple I in 1976. Kottke will showcase a replica Apple I computer capable of running ChatGPT.

Admission ranges from $6.50 to $21.50, with free entry for children ages 0-7. The museum describes TechFest as an all-day celebration offering special activities and experiences. This event builds on the momentum from last week's panel, which included surprise appearances from other Apple history figures and is available to watch online.
