Following a regulatory breakthrough in Europe, XRP saw a nearly 3% gain. Ripple secured full approval of its Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license in Luxembourg, a key step in expanding its digital asset solutions across the continent. This EMI license allows Ripple to operate across all EU member states, streamlining its ability to serve institutional clients.

The Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), Luxembourg's financial supervisor, granted the license. This will allow Ripple to issue electronic money and offer digital financial services. The move strengthens the company's position to support European businesses transitioning to a digital-first financial era. Ripple already holds over 75 licenses worldwide.

This approval has the potential to boost adoption of Ripple's ecosystem, including XRP Ledger (XRPL) and its stablecoin, RLUSD. RLUSD's market capitalization rose to $1.459 billion, increasing 33% on XRPL. The expansion coincides with a broader advance in the crypto market.

With full “passporting” rights, the pathway for institutional adoption of XRP and RLUSD is now open. The next step will be to see how Ripple navigates regulatory clarity in the US. Investors should watch how this impacts XRP's price and the growth of RLUSD.
