Kansas City's Worlds of Fun amusement park has a new owner as EPR Properties acquired the park along with six others for $342 million. The Kansas City-based experiential real estate trust purchased the portfolio from Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, adding more than 1,600 acres across five states to its holdings.

EPR is contributing $315 million while other operating partners provide the remaining $27 million. The acquisition includes Valleyfair in Minnesota, Six Flags St. Louis, Schlitterbahn Waterpark in Texas, Michigan's Adventure, Six Flags Great Escape in New York, and Six Flags La Ronde in Montreal. These parks attract approximately 4.5 million visitors annually and feature 418 attractions.

While Worlds of Fun keeps its name, parks with Six Flags branding will likely be rebranded after 2026 when EPR loses the naming rights. Day-to-day operations will continue unchanged under Enchanted Parks, which will manage staff and rides. EPR Chairman Gregory K. Silvers called this a "compelling opportunity" to expand their attractions portfolio in established regional markets.
