Two women hiking in Utah were killed by a stranger seeking money, their family states. Linda Dewey, 65, and Natalie Graves, 34, were discovered dead near a trail head near Teasdale. Authorities charged Ivan Miller, 22, with aggravated murder in both slayings and the separate killing of Margaret Oldroyd, 86.

Miller allegedly confessed, stating he needed cash after a car accident and selling his truck. He shot Oldroyd in her Lyman home, then drove to the trail where he encountered Graves and Dewey, allegedly stabbing Dewey when she moved. The husbands found Dewey and Graves' bodies.

The family described the victims as beloved relatives, emphasizing the trail was a cherished, safe place. Miller was arrested in Colorado after authorities tracked a stolen key fob. The killings have cast a shadow over the area's reputation as a secure outdoor destination.
