A dramatic fire engulfed the SkyLand Ranch amusement park in Tennessee's Smoky Mountains early Friday, February 13th. SkyLand Ranch reported flames erupted around 2:20 AM local time, prompting immediate response from Sevierville and Gatlinburg police officers who spotted the blaze. Fire crews arrived to find two large barns fully engulfed, with surrounding structures also damaged. No injuries were reported among first responders or animals.

Rescuers worked swiftly to move animals from the affected barns to the petting zoo area. The Tennessee Department of Forestry assisted to prevent woodland fires. While the park's mountain coaster and chairlift were undamaged, the fire caused the animal housing building to lose heat, requiring additional heaters. Park owners were out of town during the incident.

SkyLand Ranch celebrated the successful animal rescue on social media, thanking local fire departments. Authorities plan to demolish the destroyed barns if they don't collapse naturally. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
