Edgard Altamirano, 43, killed his former 24-year-old girlfriend before turning the gun on himself in a San Jose parking lot Tuesday morning. Police found the couple suffering multiple gunshot wounds in the 500 block of El Paseo de Saratoga, both pronounced dead at the scene. The legally registered firearm used belonged to Altamirano, who had dated the victim but the relationship had ended.
