San Jose police arrested 11 suspects, including Ruben Guzman, a 31-year-old assistant principal at Sunrise Middle School, in a child exploitation sting operation targeting Super Bowl LX attendees.

Authorities allege Guzman communicated with someone he believed was a 13-year-old boy, offering money and expressing intent to engage in sexual acts. He was arrested Feb. 3 after arranging a meeting that officers intercepted. The school immediately removed Guzman from campus, stating the allegations do not involve students and providing counseling resources.

The multi-day operation, targeting human trafficking and child exploitation leading up to the Super Bowl, resulted in eight additional arrests over the following days. All suspects face charges including arranging meetings with minors for sex.

This case underscores significant community safety concerns and potential reputational risks for local institutions, though no Sunrise students were implicated. The investigation remains active.
