Hundreds of drones and ballistic missiles targeted energy systems overnight, injuring seven people across Kyiv, Dnipro, and Odesa, officials said. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko described the Kyiv attack as 'massive,' noting hits on residential and non-residential buildings on both sides of the Dnipro River. Fragments fell near residential buildings, though no fires broke out in the capital.

In Dnipro, four people including a baby and young girl were injured, while Odesa saw a drone strike damaging infrastructure and an apartment building where a fire occurred. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha called each strike a 'blow to peace efforts,' urging Russia to take diplomacy seriously. The attacks coincide with harsh winter conditions and ongoing U.S.-mediated talks in Abu Dhabi that have stalled over the Donetsk region.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy demanded more U.S. pressure on Russia to end the war by summer.
