Rep. Thomas Massie has accused President Trump of using military action in Iran as a distraction from the Epstein files controversy. The Kentucky libertarian warned that bombing Iran won't make the Epstein documents disappear, comparing it to the Dow's recent surge above 50,000. Massie and Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna spearheaded the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which Trump signed into law.

Massie has emerged as one of Trump's most vocal critics, particularly regarding the president's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. The congressman and Khanna have pushed for the release of all DOJ files connected to Epstein, who died in 2019. While over 3 million files have been released, another 3 million remain withheld for various reasons.

As Trump launched military strikes against Iran, Massie vowed to force a congressional vote on the war, arguing that the Constitution requires congressional approval. The congressman slammed the strikes as the opposite of "America First" and pledged to work with Khanna to curb Trump's military action without congressional approval. Trump has repeatedly called Massie a "loser" and is backing his primary opponent in Kentucky's 4th Congressional District.
