A Massachusetts woman, Chun Xiang Cao, 60, faces multiple charges for running a prostitution ring at the Healthy Wellness Spa in Tyngsborough. The arrest stems from a months-long investigation involving Tyngsborough Police and the Massachusetts State Police High Risk Victim Unit. Cao, identified as the manager, was charged with keeping a house of prostitution, maintaining a house of prostitution, and sexual conduct for a fee.

The investigation began after Tyngsborough Police were contacted by Somerset Police in May 2025. The joint effort involved surveillance and a search warrant execution at the spa, where U.S. currency and a ledger with client information were seized. The collaboration between local and state law enforcement was crucial in gathering evidence. Cao was released on personal recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on March 11.

This case highlights the ongoing issue of illegal prostitution in Massachusetts and the effectiveness of cross-agency cooperation in combating such activities. With assistance from the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office and other local police departments, the operation demonstrates a concerted effort to dismantle these operations. The public is encouraged to provide any additional information, suggesting further developments may arise.

What remains to be seen is the impact of this arrest on similar businesses and the effectiveness of law enforcement strategies in addressing prostitution rings in the region.
